The Erlanger Spinet Piano

The Erlanger Spinet Piano

I really wanted to build this piano from my first days in my Second Life.  It would prove to elude me for a long time.  Here it is after more than 18 months in SL. I needed to learn several skills to pull this off. Building, texturing in Gimp, Sculpties in Wings 3D. And finally it arrived. I am very happy with the results.

The black keys are a sculpty to reduce the prim count. I give credit to Lauren Fox for her cherry wood texture that got me thinking I could do it with the quality I wanted in this piano. More than one person has told me how it reminds them of the piano they have at home in the terraverse.

Some day, time permitting, I will make a concert grand piano.  That seems to be the big seller in Second Life.

There is no other piano like this White one with it’s natural birch keys.
